News from the end of May
In last couple of weeks, several things happened that made me really proud. First of all came the notification from the Belgrade’s Faculty of Architecture, saying that I will be a small part of this year’s ”Architecture and Ideology” Conference, with my case-study of Sava Center. This conference will be held in Kolarac Foundation, in Belgrade, on 28th-29th September 2012.
Second nice surprise for me this month was the announcement of a team of young architects, as winners of National Competition for design of Serbian Pavilion on this year’s, 13th Architectural Bienalle in Venice. What made me really proud and satisfied was the fact that as a teaching associate I worked with most of these architects during their Master studies at Faculty of Architecture. Members of this team are Marija Miković MArch, Olga Lazarević MArch, Marija Strajinić MArc, Nikola Andonov MArch, Aleksandar Ristović MArch, Marko Marović MArch, Milan Dragić MArch, JankoTadić MArch, Nebojša Stevanović MArch and Miloš Živković MArch and their winning entry is also posted on www.dab.rs
The last significant professional update in the last month was the acceptance of abstract that my colleague Milica Pajkić and me wrote, for the Scientific Conference as part of this year’s first Tirana Architecture Week. Our work, titled “Abandoned architecture – Ghost spaces of Belgrade” got very positive reviews and as I’m writing these lines,we are preparing our full paper for this conference. Further updates about all these events will be published…
